This year we are revisiting SAIPPUAKIVIKAUPPIAS (The Finnish Soapstone Seller) for our December show, performed by The Bom-Bane Family Players, including Daisy Jordan and her exquisite puppets and puppetry. Inspired by the palindromic title, the show tells the story of a craftsman obsessed with balance and a compulsion to remain symmetrical while polishing his stones to perfection.

The word SAIPPUAKIVIKAUPPIAS reflects the Midgard Serpent, which wraps itself round the world, symbolising equilibrium, harmony and the infinite.
